Kemberlei Smith - Human Services and Community Support Professional
Based in Mt. Airy, Maryland, Kemberlei Smith is dedicated to supporting individuals through coordinated care, advocacy, and community-based services. Kemberlei Smith serves as coordinator of community services with Optimal Case Management, Inc., where she coordinates client caseloads, facilitates access to necessary supports and services, and designs personalized care plans that enhance well-being.
Previously, Kemberlei Smith worked with Montgomery County Government as both a coordinator of community services and program specialist. In this capacity, she supported vulnerable populations and helped improve outreach efforts. She also held roles within probation departments in Colorado. She served as an adult domestic violence probation officer and deputy probation officer, overseeing client compliance and coordinating rehabilitation services. In addition, she contributed in the public health service sector as an intellectual disability specialist with the Fairfax County Community Services Board, assisting individuals and families in accessing critical resources. She also has experience as a security officer.
Ms. Smith holds a master of science in law from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has also completed training in hazardous materials and firefighting.
In her spare time, Ms. Smith serves with the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Department. She is also a member of the Our Lady of Good Counsel High School Women’s Leadership Group.
